Bee careful Janet is advising on feeding for April

Attention RiteHivers!  Spring has sprung and the bees are building up rapidly now, presenting the risk of starvation due to the rapid consumption of stores through feeding all that new brood.  It is wise to keep a close eye on the food available to your bees as even a few wet, cool, or windy days can put the hive into starvation mode, resulting in the consumption of all that precious brood!  Our flow from Maple is just about to start, so make sure your bees have enough syrup or fondant to cover those April shower days and build up for a wonderful new season.
